We're sad to report the passing of Tom "Boogaloo" Shaft on July 9th, as posted by Johnny Mantell on Facebook this morning.
Tom spent the first half of 1982 working in Dallas-Fort Worth and was there for the very beginning of the World Class era. He wrestled mostly in the southern U.S. territories, debuting in Memphis in 1973, and retired after a short summer 1984 stint for Jim Crockett Promotions.
WCM sends sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Tom Shaft. May he rest in peace.
